Axis ARTPro Carbon Front Wing Series
After the great reception the ART1099 received, it seemed obvious that the Axis Research Team (ART) should build a bigger one. They swung into action with the intent of rolling out an ART1199… that’s where the 2-year ARTPRO odyssey began.
Not content to just scale up an already tried and true formula, Axis went to work (their longest development cycle to date), testing countless iterations with extensive hydrodynamic and rider testing, all building on the success of the one before. The result, Axis believe is something really special, so special in fact that collectively Axis decided it would herald in an entirely new range for AXIS, the ARTPRO’s.
Comes in 10 size options:
The all new ARTPro 751, ARTPro 801,ARTPro 851 & ARTPro 901 adding to the original rage of the: ARTPro 951, ARTPro 1001, ARTPro 1051, ARTPro 1121, ARTPro 1201 and the ARTPro 1401.
Leading the charge was the ARTPRO1201, designed for fast downwinding and bigger guys, but don’t get the wrong impression, this is the wing Dylan Bez prone paddled up for a World Record Marathon 3hr and 6min continuous Surf pump session (left his board shorts at home so went out in work shorts, he had to stop because it got dark? Averaging 18.8km/h and covering a whopping 58km in distance all without getting wet again). (See the videos above AND below….)
The design requirements of the ARTPro series were for unprecedented glide, a fast and nimble feel, unparalleled large span turning, great breach control which is crucial for wings with the design shape of the ARTPro series and of course to give early lift with a low stall speed.
